• Honolulu Zoo Launches HZapp, A New Customer Resource

Waikīkī – The Honolulu Zoo is pleased to launch its new feature called HZapp, an all-encompassing tool which incorporates every step of the guest journey with one convenient tap of a button on a mobile device.

HZapp, sponsored by the SSA Group, the Honolulu Zoo’s concessionaire, includes interactive digital maps loaded with helpful filters, state-of-the-art way finding technology and custom content to ensure that guests always find the right animal exhibit, attraction, gift shop, dining location and more.

“We are very fortunate and excited that the SSA Group has selected the Honolulu Zoo to launch HZapp as it will improve our guest experience and allow visitors to experience a deeper level of engagement with their favorite animal and exhibits,” said Linda Santos, Honolulu Zoo director.
Zoo patrons will scan QR codes placed throughout the zoo with the camera on their mobile device. HZapp will allow for touchless food and retail orders, pickup and shipping to anywhere making the dining and shopping experience for zoo patrons safe, quick and convenient. HZapp is not required to be downloaded and is not available at app stores.
