City's Rental and Utility Relief Program temporarily paused to process applications

HONOLULU -- Thanks to the collaboration between the City and County of Honolulu and its community partners, the Rental and Utility Relief Program has received 5,000 new applications. The portal at oneoahu.org/renthelp is now temporarily paused to allow the City's community partners to process applications and distribute funds to landlords and utility companies.

The next reopening date will be announced after the City and its partners evaluate this round of applications.

People who have started their applications should continue to submit their materials using the personalized account they created.

The program has helped approximately 7,000 Oʻahu households with $58 million in rent and utility support since opening in April, with more financial support distributed every day. The City expects to spend $180 million in rent and utility help to support the community during these difficult times.

The community can visit oneoahu.org/resources to find more support services offered by the City, its government partners, and nonprofits. People can also visit oneoahu.org/renthelp to sign up for a notification when the portal re-opens.
