Temporary road repairs scheduled for South King Street

Honolulu– The Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM) is scheduled to perform temporary road pavement repairs on South King Street between Punchbowl Street and Alapa‘i Street beginning on Saturday, Feb. 9.  This section of South King Street is scheduled to be partially closed on the following Saturdays: Feb. 9, 16, 23, and March 2 and 9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Weather and conditions permitting, the work is anticipated to be completed by Saturday, March 9.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes while crews are working. Please allow for extra travel time and abide by posted traffic signs. Special duty Honolulu Police Department officers will be posted at the work site to assist with traffic control.

The Department of Facility Maintenance apologize for the inconvenience and thanks the public for their patience. Anyone with questions or concerns about the project can contact DFM at 768-3632.
